In October 2006, former Secretary of State George P. Shultz and Dr. Sidney D. Drell held a conference at the Hoover Institution to analyze the vision that Reagan and Gorbachev brought to Reykjavik, its impact on subsequent events, and its relevance in today’s world of growing nuclear dangers.

The panel features a conversation between former Secretary of State George P. Shultz; former Ambassador and Head of the United States Delegation to the Negotiations with the Soviet Union on Nuclear and Space Arms in Geneva Max Kampelman; and former Ambassador to Finland and the German Democratic Republic Rozanne Ridgway. The panel is moderated by Hoover research fellow Peter Robinson.
